There’s a bit of a production line at the studio @ushawdurham . Late nights and no weekends to get the job done. No rest for the wicked. The reflections are keeping me amused though. Good job I ordered spare prisms, there are bound to be some that haven’t made the trip across the continents. 2,500 prisms have arrived for my new installation Weight of Light, opening next month as part of @yorkfestivalofideas at York St Mary’s @yorkmuseumstrust , in association with @uniofyork and supported by Arts Council England @aceagrams .

I may have overwhelmed reception @ushawdurham with my 13 boxes of prisms. 2,500 in total for my installation Weight of Light, opening next month as part of @yorkfestivalofideas at York St Mary’s @yorkmuseumstrust , in association with @uniofyork and supported by Arts Council England @aceagrams . It got pretty cosy up on the scaffold when it came to the gutsy part of the operation. One tending to the fluid line, another dealing with cables and another to hold the weight. Pretty tricky in a tight spot with nowhere to lean and the pressure to keep our greasy paws off the Perspex! The Cloud of Unknowing for Sculpt @artinthechurches opens next week. We finished the installation for The Cloud of Unknowing for Sculpt @artinthechurches this week. It was a tremendous group effort to get this animal up. Thanks to everyone involved. Here Jonathan is working on the wiring for the mechanism and the lighting guys are fine tuning, ahead of the first dry run.
