Milward Collaboration

This series of studies shows the collaboration with theoretical physicist Prof. Geoff Milward to produce a new body of work exploring magnetism and phase transitions. The work will consist of a series of kinetic sculptures. These studies depict flat porcelain components, each with a magnet embedded into it. The porcelain is tethered but floats on a liquid allowing them to jostle and dance. The arrows give an indication of the magnetic fields along with the complex fluid dynamics at play.
